northwest tennessee | I thought about that too but if he took it to a vet and got pills surely they would have found that. Mange normally starts on the belly and causes reddness. Is the dog and inside or outside. If inside could be carpet allergy or lots of things because dogs are not made to be inside really. Flea allergy will cause alot of problems and you may not see any fleas at all and will only take one or two flea bites to cause problems if the dog is allergic to them. I would also look at the diet and try to get a better dog food that has omega 3s and things for skin and coat. This will take time to fix and wont be an over night deal. I had trouble with a heeler before and some of it was diet. The pills will relieve symptoms but wont fix the problem and most dogs that start on them stay on them. | |
