Lac qui Parle County Minnesota | Cabelas has a store in Owatonna. A bit of a drive, but probable shorter time than your wives will spend shopping. Take the light rail to down town and walk about a bit. The stadium has a pretty good tour with a lot of interesting things to see. (Don't know if they take White Sox fans on the tour) The Capitol and historical society are pretty good visits. Fort Snelling itself is interesting. You can walk by the dome and see how they're turning it purple for the Vikings. Como Park and Zoo in St Paul are interesting as well as the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley, just south of the Mall.
Like stated earlier, if you have never been there before, its worth it just to walk around the four levels. Later it is rather fascinating to just sit and watch all the different people from all of the world walking around there. There are a lot better places to eat down town Minneapolis than at the Mall. |
