Serves 4. 1 qt. milk, chilled 3/4 cup chocolate syrup 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract 1 pt. chocolate ice cream ( may substitute peppermint stick ice cream ) Garnish: whipped cream, crushed peppermint candy, or 4 peppermint candy canes for stirrers. Put milk, chocolate syrup, and peppermint extract into a large mixing bowl. Beat with a rotary beater until blended well. Pour into glasses and top with ice cream. Garnish with a spoon of whipped cream mixed with a few pieces of crushed peppermint candy! The children will enjoy peppermint candy cane stirrers. |
