Little River, TX
There are a lot of Winklers in this country, & Bill Winkler is justifiably famous for his business.
He is semi retired now, seldom works more than 70 hours a week, now.

There are numerous receipts for pecan pies, all are rich. I like them but I like even better a tart cherry pie or an apple pie made with Wine sap apples, go light on the sugar. I probably would like rhubarb also.

His retail store is on TX Hwy 36 immediately past the west end of the bridge over Lake Belton. For the GPS 16022 State Hwy 36, Moody, TX 254/986-2635.

For those traveling on I-35 there is a Collin Street Bakery just north of Waco on the East side of the highway. Saves going to Corsicana's Collin Street Bakery (home Office) for your delectable bakery goods.
