Big Country Area, area in and around Abilene TX

Nah, you are in a good location.

I would suggest reading the owner's manual for each of the machines for the instructions as to what is the normal operating status for each one.

My Mother has a GE Freezer. Fairly new, maybe 5 or so years old. Door is cool, sides and top are warm to touch. It is supposed to be that way. Instructions warn against any thing stacked on top of machine, in fact, it is forbidden and there is a minimum clearance requirement for sides and back for proper operation.

Bottom line, read the owner/operator's manual for each for proper usage.
