You might read a cookbook skip to the page about homemade bread, get out the needed supplies and start baking. 

Chances are at some point in time just before the kitchen looks like a tornado went through, and/or the fire department is called..... she will jump in shove you out of the way yelling "you're doing it all wrong an screwing up my kitchen!"  then proceed to make the bread herself.

(after all is done,, you might volunteer to clean up the mess..)
