just a tish NE of central ND

Terry,
It all depend on what kind of openers and how much dirt you will move. My concord 32 12 with dutch 5.5 inch openers and nh3 seems to be about right as long as Im not in really loose moldbord plowed dry sand and going up a 45 or steeper......Then I try to go downhill... (I've a hill steep enough that the custom sprayer guy dug himself in last week) That cummins is rated at 280hp according to the cpl tag.... but the hp has been bumped a bit I think. As far as hydraulics Im no help.Ive got the diesel on the back of my cart.Guys like myneighbor to the west of me have added pumps... he has some simple pumps run right off the cam shaft pulley.Pumps came form Gleaner combines...... Header pumps I think..... Looks simple and cheap to build.
