| 1 Gallon apple cider (from concentrate stuff will work fine if you cant find real stuff)
1/2 gallon apple juice
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp nutmeg
8-10 cinnamon sticks
5th BACARDI 151 RUM
In large pot mix all ingredients EXCEPT BACARDI 151 and bring temp up to 190, be careful not to boil.
Take off of heat and let cool to 120 degrees, then add 151 gently stir and you are done
Store in jug or mason jars, I use jars and add the used cinnamon sticks. If you use jars they will seal themselves if you put up when still warm, they will have a better shelf life. It can be stored at room temp or refrigerated, I have always refrigerated mine. | |
