 Your pictures need to be around 100Kb or less to upload from your computer. There are a couple nice free programs out there that will accomplish this.

Has a nice Picture resizing tools that is pretty simple to use.

 There is also a Microsoft Powertoy that is even simpler to use if you happen to be running Windows XP.
