Toolbox will essentially do the same thing. With toolbox you can select the individual data points and then query the results. Just as in sms, you can select/deselect only the points that you want. The problem in a strip plot situation is knowing exactly the points to select. This is especially difficult if the strip is cross-ways to the rows. The only time I will attempt to measure a plot in this way is if I can get out in the field and run a boundary around the individual strips. In this way, toolbox has a neat function where you can select all the data points that fall within that particular boundary and then calculate the yield. But this is dependent on me being able to take the 4-wheeler to the field and driving the boundary. If the crop is too tall, it eliminates this option.
