Hey TNfarmer, I've been shelling corn so I just now found your post. I am glad you got the rain. We had some heavy stuff slide right by just south of my farms. We got nothing. Our last rain was July 25th. The corn is suprising me a little though. Most all of it has been around 90 bpa. Shelled a field today at 105. Test weights are 58 - 59 #'s. I can't make any money at 90 bushels but it would be great to break even this year. I moved 10 miles up the road to another farm tonight. Some of it might be a little better. All I can say is the good Lord blessed me because I was expecting 50-75 bushels. Some of it was only 4-5 feet tall. The bad news is I have several acres of dead beans over waist high. They smell like hay. The low land beans are still green but fading quickly. Hoping and praying we will get some rain tommorrow (50% chance). Your 3.5"s of rain sure beats irrigating huh? Rick
