southern il. | The elevators on the ohio river are lined up with trucks and have dropped prices to 2.64 for cash corn. The basis has gone to crap here with all this corn coming in at one time. Generally in our area missouri and kentucky farmers start first and are finishing up when we start but this with freeze we had early everybody planted at the same time. The price difference between now and oct 1 is 66 cents and 1.04 for dec.1. I think the grain storage business is what a person needs to be in instead of growing corn.
