Berlin, Germany
over here modern Truck motors are equiped to use liquid 32.5 % N Urea solution.
Info of the stuff and concept in English you find at: http://www.air1.info/en/
Now the Urea which they use for this is cleaner than the fertiliser stuff. But still the price difference is very high so their margin is much higher on this Ad Blue used Urea. One number I found is taht for each 600 km you need 10 l of Ad Blue, that's
2.64 gal per 373 ml. Numbers for a normal 5 / 6 axle truck.
With share holder value beeing the golden calf which you folks over there have given us as a religion a urea producer couldn't care less if farming doesn't get a single p of N.
Just a quote I remember of a Prof. of economics in the US. He was asked that a result of his predictions farming would just collapse and if that yould cuase a problem? His reply: "No the colapse of farming will not cause a problem as farming only represents 3 (number right?) of cross revenue of the economy." Never figured out that if farming collases he will have not his nice burgers on his plate.
Sorry, and don't take that personal, but I have changed my very posetive view on the US to a slighly diverse approach.
