No nutrient is available to plants before it is dissolved in the soil solution. An acre of topsoil in planting condition will range from 15-25% moisture by weight, which is 30-50,000 gallons of water per acre. I'm not convinced adding 5 gallons more is going to speed up the process significantly! | |
