There may be advantages to liquid fertilizers, but higher availability never has been one of them!

No nutrient is available to plants before it is dissolved in the soil solution. An acre of topsoil in planting condition will range from 15-25% moisture by weight, which is 30-50,000 gallons of water per acre. I'm not convinced adding 5 gallons more is going to speed up the process significantly!
