Price up front means nothing, Cash Discount, Volume Discount, and "free" seed impact the real average price per Bag.
I don't exactly know what part you don't understand. The price is the price with discounts etc. Face it Monsanto tech fees add up to more than a gouging this year. Performance has been good but they are getting a little greedy.
