Colby, Kansas
I believe Ted is right about the "fudge factor". Elevator speed is an input in the calculations AgLeader uses. So a reduction in elevator speed is compensated for by shifting up the mass to voltage response curve from the sensor.

I love Trapper's post because last night as I went to bed I was fairly well convinced I was loosing my mind. I had remembered reading that, event went to JD and ordered one for dad's combine several years ago, but failed last night to find that in the AgLeader install documents, or come up with a part number.

So even thought the monitor can compensate for changes in elevator speed (and thus grain velocity as it approaches the strike plate) the grain must still be on the same general trajectory. I believe the purpose of this plate is to help ensure that. Did find a picture in the current documents. Possibly this plate was standard on the Green* ready machines, so maybe you have one in yours Ted.

Regards,

Lucas
