JK, what series of 8000 are you running? If you plan on trading up to a 30 series in the next few years, you may want to consider a 2600 now because if the iTEC feature available on those tractors is something you like, you will need the 2600 to run it. As well, the 2600 allows you to save guidance lines specific to your fields where as the original only allows you to save five lines. In your case, field specific lines would be very beneficial.

You can store 250 guidance lines on the original system when used with a data card. The 2600 display has many advantages beyond mapping, such as the ability to use the GS2 Rate Controller and Swath Control Pro, and as stated above you can store multiple AB lines per field as well as run iTEC when released & the ability to connect other manufacturers controllers through the 2600 display.
