I'm from north of you and just started growing sunflowers. what kind of header are you using. It looks like a pan header but is that a hood of some sort over the auger?
I took some pictures today to better show the "hood/paddle reel" of the New J sunflower attachment.
Now to explain an IH 810 head on a JD...our previous combine was a IH 915 and we kept the head when we bought the JD. I cut the welds and removed parts of the IH mount and had a local steel/machine shop bend me an "L" shaped piece to to fit the opening. I welded and reinforced the piece into the opening (#1)...cut pockets (#2)...cut the channel so JD variable speed would clear (#3) and welded in some lock down plates (#4)
