No real reason for feeling uneasy.

If the situation arose those silo's were needed to be put to use, they would be the first target aimed for. Being a long distance away, putting up with the results of fallout etc IMO would be much worse than feeling no pain whatsoever dealing with the results.

Blink and it's all over with.
