Subject: RE: John Deere 9650 Cornerpost lights flicker

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Just had to replace the cornerpost Motherboard on my 9650 STS - $640 U.S. Mine went completely dead and since the Motherboard feeds the other displays I simply had to bite the bullet and replace it.

After the fact, I was talking to my dealer where it was repaired and he indicated that they had a couple more failures after mine. Apparently this is fairly common.

If yours still works but the lights flicker, it may be a poor connection and you might have a chance of fixing it. I checked with some Electronic Ag Repair places here (Ag Express) and they indicated that they can not repair the motherboards since Deere won't give them the schematics.

There is a serial number break in the 9650 STS series. My combine is older and was before the serial number break. The newer combines use a different part number.
