Little River, TX | interested in Ohio hosting an AFGC annual conference. Probably the earliest date would be in 2010. For goodness sake do not let them schedule a meeting in June!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
College types like June meetings, hay growers like February.
For 2008 AFGC will be meeting with Society of Range Management as a co-host. I expect to be there arrive in Louisville Monday January 28, attend the sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday , and head out of town on Thursday.
Maybe there can be a New AgTalk breakfast table. (?)
I understand on Tuesday will be the Forage Spokesperson, read producers saying how things really work, contest.
Also on that day is supposed to be the Emerging Scientist Contest, read young MS and PhD students tell about their work.
Both have good information.
Wednesday is for the researchers to present their papers. Many are good but there are also some that are looking for a paid vacation and a chance for a pay raise.
Hotel is not cheap. If you know the area you can get a Super 8 and ride a bus to the hotel, I did at San Antonio, TX.
