North Western Alberta
Id have to say no, it doesnt end up in the air then. It ends up back in the ground, or in a plastic. But, burning it in a fossil fuel I think is worse. So, I guess its the lesser of two evils maybe.? At the plant I used to work at, it was one of the largest sour plants in the world, and we literally sent 20 TONS of sulfur in the form of SO2 into the air, A DAY. A ton is about one meter square of solidified sulfur. So, do the math on that! In Kazakstan, russia, I have some freinds working over there, and they put 1000 tons a day into the atmosphere! Its incredible.
