Subject: RE: ? about feeding soybean stubble

Southwest Missouri
Just my experience, but I have not had much success feeding different types of hay at the same time. The cows went for the better hay and left the other until the good hay was totally gone. The non-dominant cows did not get any of the good hay.

What I would do with our cows is feed the poorer hay first, when the weather is fairly decent, supplement it if necessary. Then, feed the good stuff when it is cold and the cows need the best feed.

Years ago, we put up soybean hay. We have not put any stubble. I do not know how palatable it would be.
