Redneck heuristics - My mind's made up, don't confuse me with facts! :o))

To the data point - we've collected yield info for 10 yrs, but yield and protein for only 3 and are now using that to make spatial N removal calcs and using those calcs for N recommendations. Interestingly or maybe expectedly, the field average often comes back to what a uniform rate recommendation would have been, but with a 2 - 3x variation in rates. Just starting to have enough data to see if yields are moving.

We have soils EC data that we've tried to incorporate, but I've been less successful with that data, I think. Now have data we can compare - N removal vs EC. Hoping for a long winter :o))
