| There is allot to consider when putting a base station on a tower.
1) Deere did go to a 12 mile radius on there base stations, But you need the latest update to make it work accurately
2) How tall are the rolling hills? If you find the highest point, will a 100 ft tower give you line of sight to al your locations?
3) As far as cost, If you think a 100 ft tower will work, I have installed many for about 8,000.00. That's not including the Receiver and harnesses from Deere.
4) I don't think anything will be out in the 5 years or so, and if and when it does, it will be a few more years before the bugs get worked out of it.
