Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | I agree. No new hay is being planted here this year. A few 'hay only' guys are rotating a little new hay in, and a few guys are planting due to long term rotation. But probably just as much or more acres of older stands are coming out. Potato guys are short on ground, and I know hay growers who had guys trying to rent their ground for wheat.
I'd let them put money down to hold the hay, but I'd set the price when it moves out. | |
