If you want to upgrade to EZ-Steer take the 500. It is much easier to calibrate and steering performance is better than with the EZG+. The 500 will also use the same steering box with ez-steer but it needs a new firmware, so that it can work with 50 Hz instead of 5 Hz.
With the 500 you also have the ability to upgrade your receiver to higher accuracy levels.
