Subject: Re: RoGator 854 vs. 1254

Manitoba, Canada
I used to work for a company that did AgChem recon work and custom app and I have run and had experience with almoast every year and every model AgChem has ever built. My experience is that 854's are TANKS! absolutly the toughest machine on the market. Very simple. Very tough. You will get just as much done with 800 gallons and 100' as a 1254 with 1200, they are gutless. The 854's are however rough if you have really rough fields. But belive me as long as you can stay in the cab the machine will take it. I have had to spray fields standing up in the cab...

I wouldnt buy a pre-1997 854. They have old style wheel motors and a single hydrostat system as apposed to dual. The 1997 was one of the best years.

1074's are also very good machines if you are looking to go to the next level. They are good when you put a edge chip on the cat motors.

If you yourself is running the sprayer and want a quiet, soft ride and arnt hard on a sprayer (booms hitting hydro poles) buy a 4710/20
