Goff Kansas | I think it is probably a combination of economics of the eastern guys feeding and just the simple fact that the packing industry has too much kill space or capasity to match the numbers of cattle on feed. we don't raise many cattle, and no fats, but from what i hear, the writing has been on the wall for a little while. no capital investment going on at that plant for a little while, and the mere fact it is not in prime feedlot area, it was common sence it was prob going to be one of the first to go.. will definately hurt the local feeders around here a little.. but you know them feeders, they will figure something out.. | |
