Anamoose, ND
I have a set of ULD nozzles, I never use them because the coverage is terrible. I wouldn't think of using them for fungicides at any pressure. I have tried the Hypro ULD, Teejet XR's and Teejet Turbo Teejets tips. I like the Turbo Teejets the best handsdown. I run the turbo teejets at lower pressures (<40psi) and they drift very little and I still get excellant coverage. When I sprayed fungicides on my headed wheat I rotated my boom angle forward, used about 40 PSI and 15 gal/ac with the turbo teejets-coverage was very good. They are fairly cheap to buy compared to the AI tips. They do make a AI version of the Turbo Teejet now but I have not tried or seen them spray. My theory is that you cannot have low drift without giving up coverage. I think the turbo's are the best compromise.
