East Palestine, Ohio (Columbiana Co.)
Duly noted; couldn't agree more. Don't know how land rental game works in your area.........HERE when apiece comes your way you need to decide right quick whether you want it or not. Such was the case here when the neighbor acquired the fields adjoining this farm, but these people couldn't make up their mind. He went ahead and burned the other fields and later planted them. AFTER the corn was up, the hold-outs called and wanted to know if he was coming to plant theirs? It was against his better judgement, but he went ahead anyway. When i was down helping him get caught-up spraying, we had the row-cleaner conversation which in turn caused me to ask the original question.
Not trying to re-invent the wheel here-- but honestly did want to know if there was a row cleaner or anything else capable of getting a stand of corn established under these conditions.

My own personal "row cleaning machine" is a 7 bottom plow for use in extreme circumstances.

Have a good one........The Dumb Farmer
