Callao Missouri | No need to buy anything just center up with the head, lower the feeder house all the way to the ground and pull into the Deere head. Stick you a piece of 3" channel Iron between the gap of the feeder house front lip on the combine and the front bottom corner of the top frame rail of the head you will see the 3" in there to stick the channel in. Wedge the iron in their, pick up the head and weld the iron in place, stick you a couple angle braces on and you are in business. Screw a 2 x 6 on each side of the front of the opening in the head to take up the space of the narrower feeder house on the IH. Torch out the holes that the corn head shafts go threw on the back and move the shafts back a little, line them up with the combine and get you 4 hex shaft couplers, weld a pipe between two of them one for each side to connect the corn head shafts to the combine. Crude yes but a 443 is not in very high demand around here so no use spend a pile of money adapting one. Jon | |
