East Central MN | Looking to pickup a good used 4' x 5' netwrap round baler and have narrowed the search to either a New Holland BR740 and a Vermeer 554XL. We've got past experience with a BR740 but the Vermeer looks like a pretty good unit. It will be used primarily in grass or alfalfa with possibly a little use in corn stalks. Any thoughts on where one may outshine the other (weight, bale shape, pickup, belts, rollers, etc)? Any specific areas to look at on the Vermeer?
