Well, in hindsight, I probably would have gotten a disc mo-co, but the sicklebar machines were right there, and the deal was attractive. All told, it hasn't been that difficult running a sicklebar, and the wildlife has time to move out of the way. Running at speeds over 5 mph, I run over an awful lot of critters that I would just as soon keep.

You're right about the dry grass. It was frost-killed. Don't need any crimping action on this stuff. Looks like terrible hay, being brown and all, but savvy horse owners prefer it over coastal bermuda or most other grass hays that I have.
