I contend that the higher HP machine leads an easier life. I know my 8100 was a complete dog when I bought it, unbearable to drive, constantly lugging the engine and shifting the transmission.
Now it purs like a kitten in one gear without shifting much other than to slow down. It is definately harder on the tractor with less HP.
