Wheatley, Arkansas | Had an opportunity to use John's recipe today. I don't know how many have ever tried to remove 10 year old truck frame bolts, but they are tough. We removed a stationary fifth wheel today, adding a slider. Figured WTH let's try a magic potion I heard about on NAT. The guys were skeptical to say the least. We bought, mixed, and applied the potion, all but two bolts. Drug out the old trusty 1" impact and went to work. The potionized nuts came off with the airgun set on #2. The nonpotionized nuts required #3 and one of them rounded out and had to be removed with the fire hatchet.
After removing the bolts the guys agreed unanimously that the potion worked as described by John Hagen.
We salute you John Hagen, Mr. rust buster concoction guy!!!!
