Good idea. Better yet get a can of electrical contact cleaner and spray the plugs and any other place which electrical contact is critical. Contact cleaner can sometimes effect a quick cure for electrical ailments. Works on vehicle radio tuners and volume controls too. CRC has a cleaner and places like Radio Shack sell some too.
