Argyle, MN | Got a JD 8400T and 8320 MFD. There is a learning curve to what the tracks can and can't do. The biggest thing is when its wet, you can loose controle over the track machine. It might not go where you want it to. Cornerring near a wet area is tricky. Don't get too close to the low area or you get sucked in. A MFWD will steer away. Another thing that you have to remember with the tracks, there is only 2 points of contact. A wheel tractor has 4.
I've got 24" tracks for airseeding and 16" tracks for rowcrop. Takes about 1 1/2 hours to switch over. At this time I check the boggie wheels and font wheels. Maintanance on the 2 is similar. Never had a track go flat though.
Resale is very similar around here. It seem that a lot of farms have 1 tracked machine of some sort. | |
