Subject: JD planter seed drop accuracy

Remsen, IA
If anyone is interested, the attached Word file shows the accuracy of JD vacuum with the JD small disk, regular disk, 40 cell disk and the e-set. Seed sizes are 30 pound bags, 48 pound bags and 60 pound bags. All are seeds are flats treated with Poncho. These tables are using the batch #'s from Pioneer seed and looking up their test stand results on the Growing Point web site. To me it looks like using the 40 cell disk should work good over a wide range of seed. Maybe with rounds the e-sets would come out better but in my case I always plant flats so that is what I looked at.

Aaron
