Depends on how nice you like your equipment to look. I would guess powder coating will last twice as long maybe longer. I have used short line stuff not powder coated and it fades, chips and rusts in one year, my sprayer is powder coated and is 11 years old and looks great. Its better by far on any fert equipment.
