Subject: Hydraulic brakes on 1987 GMC 7000 truck

Denhoff,ND right in the center of the State
Wheel cylinders were leaking on this truck so decided to do brake job. Bought new cylinders, linings, adjustment screws and gears, spring kit and new lines, drums looked very good yet. Question is how do you adjust the off center cams that bolt on to the shoes to get the correct pull to self adjusters? Not very educated on hydralic brakes, I know a lot about air brakes and would take them anyday over hydraulic. Bought this truck used from my aunt in Rice Lake, Wis. her husband passed away and it had not been used for about 5 years and things were dried out from sitting around and not being used. Parts for these trucks are more expensive than one with air brakes and are alot harded to work on than air brakes. If anyone could post diagram or tell how to do this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Terry Strobel
