Subject: Re: Precision meters on Kinze Finger Planter

mid Illinois
I went from a White air planter to a Kinze finger planter, and couldn't be happier. Getting rid of the hydraulic drive is wonderful. How nice to not have the stupid tractor always running trying to keep the oil running the planter warmed up. Any old tractor you can find with enough horsepower will pull a finger PU planter. How many farmers had to buy bigger/newer tractors to run their fancy new vac planters? I know of some in my area bought new tractors, because their old tractor didn't have enough hydraulics to run the vac planter. Vac planters MAY be more accurate than my precision finger units, but you would be hard pressed to ever see it.
