NW Washington
One inch schedule 40 aluminum pipe has been used for wet booms in the Palouse region of the Pacific NW for years. It is a pain to get treaded fitting to ever come apart once they are assembled. You need use lot of anti-seize pipe dope on all treads. Don't remember any corrosion problems and sometimes N fertilizer is used in the spray solutions.
