Subject: RE: J&M grain cart

Southwest Illinois
They run the 4.5" spinlde on the carts up to 1000 bushel. terrotory rep for J&M told me has has never seen a 4.5" spindle fail under normal conditions. He said he had seen two fail after the bearings went out and were run and heard of one breaking on a Brent 1000 bushel cart(also a 4.5") when it was pulled up next to a steep road ditch and the ditchbank gave way. I'm sure there are other stories but I'm sure almost all are from missuse not normal wear and tear. The bottom line is a 4.5" should be very adequate for a 750.
