Subject: Milwaukee battery recall

I am posting this for those who may have missed this discussion in Sept. as I did. I was looking on the net for new batteries for our two cordless 3/4" impacts, I found that a recall was issued and new batteries could be obtained from Milwaukee.
In talking with them this morning, they are sending me 8 new batteries.

We use these impacts all the time around the farm and first purchased one for our pivot tire changing.

Since these batteries usually sit during the winter, some of them or dead when put into service in the spring. In fact some will not charge. I have found that the dead one's are not actually dead, but below the 3 volts needed for the charger to recognize them.
We have taken a 9 volt battery, those little square one's and jump started these Milwaukee batteries. Just hold the 9 volt on the the contacts for about 30 seconds and it will charge it up enough for the charger to recognize the battery and continue to charge it up.

Here is the recall info.
