Wheatley, Arkansas | If you are cutting short so you can bale, I don't see any need to go ridged. The biggest advantage to a ridged in small grains comes from cutting as high as possible, just below the grain heads, the ridged header has a much shorter table , from the cutter bar to the table auger. If you are cutting low you won't have any problem getting the material to the auger, where as a flex header can have trouble moving crop from the cutter bar to the auger if you are cutting high. JMHO>
