Southern Lower Michigan | I bought one a couple of years ago. I got an Aeroquip, with adjustable crimp diameter. Every fitting manufacturer has a crimp dimension for its fittings, based on the type of hose. With an machine with adjustable cripm feature, you can use just about anybodies fittings, and hose. The crimpers, like the weatherhead that uses a "stop ring" You only get a certain amount of crimp, depending upon what ring you use, and that is it..The adjustable stop machines can adjust for the different manufacturers specs I think that gates and dayco also make an adjustable stop machine.
