The wider the better is the best advice...... We have a 36in and it will do it if the silage is green and wet, once you get to a lower moisture content and a longer haul it tends to bridge and need the aid of a pitch fork. Some guys are spraying the insides with oil in the winter here to haul beet pulp but not sure if that would help on the silage. I sure wouldnt want anything narrower than the 36. My opinion for what its worth.
