Was at a planter clinic last week and the guy said you need to replace the seed tube holder to take that slop out, my neighbor next to me was alittle bummed and said sure wish they would have told me that when I bought the new seed tubes (he said there a pain to replace), I figured they didn't know you had to replace them either, just what I heared.
