Subject: Soybeans adding N

Picked up another 8/ac. hayground this spring, owner wanted 4/ac. old pasture into production. This ground is sandy and plowed and fitted up real nice, but I wanted to clean it up so I had some leftover beans rr, put them in and sprayed once. My question is at what stage do the beans produce most N. My plan was to plant alf, o-grass next spring, but I`m thinking this fall. Really don`t care about harvesting beans. Could I plow beans under now and still get N value out of them, beans are just flowered now. Would really like to get a crop of hay next yr. Thanks
